BIBLE TRUTH E-NEWS |
JUNE 2008
But I Have
Prayed
for Thee
In these days
of uncertainty politically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually it
has become extremely dear to me to know that there are many that pray
for me. As we travel across this country we are told constantly that
churches and individuals pray for us. We so appreciate this and only
eternity will reveal what these prayers accomplished in this ministry.
But recently while studying the life of Peter I was alerted to the fact
that Jesus shared with Peter that ‘He’ was praying for him that
his “…faith fail not:” This word ‘prayed’ means to beg,
beseech, bind oneself to the petition guaranteeing that it will receive
a ‘yes’ answer. The Lord knew that Satan desired to sift Peter
and He assured him that He would pray for him that his ‘faith’
would not ‘fail’. As we are sifted as well by Satan it is a great
comfort to know that Jesus is praying for us. He will bind himself to
us, and our need, guaranteeing that our faith will not fail. I pray that
this will be as much of an encouragement to you as it has been to me.

Update
It has been a year
since we sent an E-news and for this we apologize. Time seems to get by
us and we never seem to get all accomplished that we desire.
The Lord has been so
good to us this past year. We could never begin to enumerate just how
much He has done for us. As you can tell from the pictures our family
is growing in leaps and bounds. Our newest addition was born June 27th
to Chuck, Julie, Abby, Megan, Charlie, and Claire. He is Aaron Benjamin
and he makes our 10th grandchild. We hope to have a photo of
him by our next E-news.
