The Birth Annoucement

It is my intention for the next 30 days to meditate on the birth of Christ story from Luke’s Gospel. Today let us look at Luke 1:26 which says, “And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth.” There is in this verse a precise monthmentioned. I believe it is done, so that we can see that John the Baptist His 1st cousin sin was born before Him. John latter said He is the one who was before me and after me. There is a personal message. The message is from God and sent by Gabriel. He is one of only two angels named in the Bible. Many believe he will sound the trumpet for the Lord’s next coming.We find also a precious marker. We are told his mom and dad are from Nazareth. One from here would be called a Nazarene, for He would be perfectly holy in body soul and mind. My what an exciting story to meditate on this month.
