What does this mean?
Let us look today at Luke 1: 29 which says, “And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. I must say this seems to be a very natural response. The word troubled means to be disturbed and confused. She is a young teenage girl with an angel before her. He has not said anything yet. What he says will only be more troubling. The phrase …cast in the mind… means to turn it over and over in the mind. When things come that trouble and disturb let us ponder them much in our mind before we react. Quick actions without thought only cause greater problems.
