The verses today are from own morning devotion. They are Genesis 4:25-26 which says, And Adam knew his wife again and she bare a son, and called his name Seth:For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son: and called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord. It is here we have the gospel in a nut shell. I see that there is blood  shed in the person of Abel. This blood produces Seth a blessed seed. Seth’s name means substitute, in the place of, or in the  stead of. This seed is  a great picture of Christ who  gave us a beautiful salvation. Seth’s son was named Enos which means mortal. Because of the blood it opened a new and living way that man can call on the Lord. My how this Bible is a “HIM BOOK”. It is not a hymn book, but a book were we see HIM everywhere.you look, why He is way over in Genesis the book of beginnings. It may even cause you to sing.
