Let us ponder today Hosea 2:6 and 15 which says, Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy  way with thorns… , And  I will give her the valley of Achor for a door of hope… The book of Hosea is centered around his wife Gomer who was a harlot. She is a picture of Israel. In order to bring Gomer back to the place of a holy walk, the Lord put a hedge of thorns about her. O how our precious LORD can place just the right things in our way to cause us to walk closer to Him. The text says the door into hope( confident expectations in the Lord) was through the valley of Achor. The word Achor means trouble. My what trouble Gomer walked through to get back to the Lord. Let us remember if we choose to walk a far from the Lord, LOOK OUT, there will be thorns and trouble just ahead.
