A Circumspect Walk

May we ponder today Ephesians 5: 15 which says, See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but wise, This is not a careless walk. A fool would pay no attention to each step, but a wise man sure would. A wise man would acknowledge God in everything from a  parking space at Wal-Mart to buying a home. I see from our text it is a careful walk. The word circumspect means to walk very carefully. This is  a picture word of one walking a picket fence and there is a Doberman on one side and a German Shepherd on the other. How should they walk? “Very carefully”,I would say. In  verse 14 we find it is a contrary walk. It is contrary to the world, who are asleep and dead. Vance Havner the great preacher of yesterday said, ” the devil has chloroformed the world. We that are God’s people let us  walk on.
