A Peace in His Coming
I am sorry I have not put a devotion thought on this week but I have been without a connection. Let us muse on l Thess. 4:18 today which says Wherefore comfort one another with these words. In this text we find a promise to them gone before. In verse 17 we are told that we should not sorrow over those who have passed away as those without hope. I have the confidence that those who left first will return first. (16a) There is also a promise to them left behind. We will hear a shout, voice and a trumpet sound. Then we will be caught up in the air. The Bible tells us Satan is the god of the air. We will meet the Lord right in Satan’s front yard. There is a promise to all of a blessing. In verse 17 He says we will be with Him for ever more. What a comfort of peace. May we be sure of the fact that soon and very soon we are going to see the King. Let us say with John of old come quickly Lord Jesus.
