The Authority of Awareness
I am musing a little slow today, because we have 4 of our grandchildren with us these days. I know why they put grand in that word. What a blessing to have a small part in their lives. If I would have known how grand they were I would have had them first. Well enough of that, let us muse on I Thessalonians 3: 5-7. Do you remember our theme “While waiting for the King”? In our verses today we are told of the authority of awareness. In verse five we are made aware of the tempter. Paul was greatly concern about the faith of this church. His fear was that the tempter would come and weaken their faith. Faith is made strong thru the word of God. As we wait for our King, the only way to stand against the tempter is a deep relationship with your Bible. In verse six we are made aware of their testimony. Paul said Timothy brought word of their faith, love, and hope to soon see Paul face to face. Oh how our good testimony can lift others while they wait for the King. Last of all in verse seven we are made aware of their travail. Paul was greatly comforted because they travailed in their affliction and distress because of their faith in Christ. What does our lives make others aware of today.
