The Authority Of Appreciation

As we continue to muse through I Thessalonians, let us look today at 3:8-12. In verse 9 Paul speaks of his appreciation for the things in their life. They have brought him great joy. As we wait for the King may we have some folks we can pour our lives into. I have no  greater joy than to have the lights come on and one see a truth from the Word for the first time.  In verse eight Paul tells us he appreciated their dedicated stand.Oh what  a blessing to have but a little part in someone coming to a steadfast position in their spiritual life.In verse ten Paul tells us he appreciated their desire to be students. Paul had prayed night and day that he could have a part in the perfecting of their faith. May we pray night and day for God to send us even one who desires to know and love Him more.”More about Jesus would I know, More of His love to others show”. Paul shares with us 11-12 the fact he appreciated their direction of statue. They had been directed by God to increase and abound in love toward all men. My what joy to see the Lord develop in His people  a love for others. Paul truly summed it up when he said we should esteem others better than our self.
