Possession Our Position

Let us begin to muse today through Romans, Chapter 8.  It is called by some an anchor Chapter.  Our theme is Possessing Our Position.  The terms ‘In Him’, ‘In Us’, or ‘Through Him’ are used 9 times. (Vs. 1,2,4,9,10,11,18, &39) These phrases alone are powerful, that the likes of Christ Himself would allow the likes of us to be In Him, Him In Us and Through Us.  The phrase being used 9 times gives us another great truth.  The number 9 is always connected with the fruit of the Spirit and work of the Holy Ghost. This power causes us to Possess Our Position.  Have you ever heard it said of someone that they are trying to be someone that they are not?  They are trying to be Jones’s when they are just Smiths. In this text we learn from the power of the Holy Ghost that we can become who we are In Christ and Possess Our Position.
