Walk Of Fullness

As we continue to muse in Romans 8 on our theme of Possessing Our Position I want to pose a question. What is the secret to living the Christian life? In Romans 7 Paul says the phrase ‘I do’ 6 times. The Chapter ends with ‘O wretched man that I am who will deliver me from the body of  this death?’  In Chapter 8 we find ourselves In Christ and Christ in us and the chapter ends with ‘we are more than conquerors’. So I find the answer to our question is ‘I cannot live the Christian life’. It’s something He repoduces through me. In Chapter 8 verses 3 and 4 we find the commencement of fullness,  when Christ comdemns our flesh in Himself on the cross. In verse 4 we find that through Calvary He offered us a higher law than sin and death’s law. In verse 4 there is the continuance of fullness, when Paul tells us to walk in the spirit. On occasions my wife and I have walked together. She is not so much concerned with the direction of the walk, but the distance. She will ask ‘how far are we going to walk’? We must walk with Him the whole distance, all the way to His house.
