Message Of Courage

Let us muse today from Philippians 1:28-29. Paul in this section turns his prison into a palace of praise. He uses this prison as a pulpit to preach the gospel. In our text for today we find a message of courage. In verse 28 I find courage for oppressive deeds. He said he is not terrified by his adversaries. The phrase means to be scared to the point of running from those with opposite views.  Paul said to run is a token of perdition. This phrase gives the idea to run will cause your damnable ruin. Be of good courage, stand, and  don’t run. If they smell blood the enemy will come in like a flood. When we stand God will put your enemy to flight. In verse 29 is a courage for obedient dedication. Our prison of unwelcome situation will turn to palaces of praise, when we realize the two fold gift of salvation. Paul said he was given not only the gift  to believe in Christ but also we are given the gift to suffer for Him. When God shut us up to suffering  use these times to tell those around of Jesus and His  cross.
