Serious Thoughts

Let us muse today from Philippians 4:2 and look at some serious thoughts from Paul. In this verse we find Paul’s declaration. He has enjoyed heavenly thoughts, but never gets so heavenly that he is no earthly good. I see in this verse there is a personal declaration. Paul calls the name of two ladies Euodias and Syntche, who are causing division in the church. I wonder what the service was like when this letter was read and these ladies heard their names called for sins committed? My what a wake up call. Thank God for a man who calls our hand when we sin. I see it is a pointed declaration. Paul says they don’t think like the Lord. He simply says you ladies need to stop it. Paul often uses the rebuke of a few, to keep the majority in line. These are truly serios thoughts.
