Spiritual Thougths

Let us muse today from Philippians 4:8b on our spiritual thoughts during a time of an unwelcome situation. We found yesterday that we should think on thoughts that produce character. We will see today that thoughts of character will produce thoughts of cleanliness. Paul tells us to think upon things that are pure. The word means clean. An impure thought once given lodging place in the mind is virtually impossible to evict. He tells us to think upon things that are lovely.  The Old Testament speaks of the Lord as being the Beauty of Holiness. Solomon calls Him the Altogether Lovely One. May we have no time for thoughts that fall below the standard of lovely. Paul says to think upon things of a good report. This would be things that build up and not tear down. Only a mind in cooperation with the Holy Ghost would think upon these things. Be assured thoughts upon these subjects will produce inward and outward cleanliness.
