Spiritual Thoughts

In verse 8c I find Paul tells us to think thoughts that produce a challenge in time of unwelcome situations. Paul speaks of havng virture and praise in our thoughts. The word virture has to do with thanksgiving for what He has done. It can not just be in our hearts. The writer of Hebrews says it must be offered by our lips to Him. Our thoughts should also be ones of praise. Praise is thanksgiving just for who He is. If we are to be like Him it must begin with a mind that thinks like He thinks especially in situations that would lend themselves  to think upon things below. How little time we spend in thoughts of virture and praise. It is a fact, though I seldom practice it, but we can praise our way out of unwelcome situations.
