Contentment In A Word

Let us muse today on Philippians 4:13 on what I call the secret to contentment. It is contentment in a word. The contentment is found in Christ who strengthens. This is a strength that comes from a supernatural source. In Acts 9:19-22 Paul began his ministry with the strength of Christ. Now at the end of his ministry it is the same word of strength that is keeping him going. In Isaiah 40 we are told that they who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. The word renew means to exchange. Oh to exchange my strength for His strength. Dr. Frank Sells said the verse could be said ‘I can do all things through Christ who keeps pouring His power into my life or I can do all things resting sweetly in Jesus control.’
