The Act Of Sowing By The Sower
Once again we want to muse on some fundamental truths about the Parable of the Sower before we step into the text. God who is the husbandman is in charge of all sowing. He is the one who takes the initiative to bring salvation to pass. Many believe today that grace makes salvation possible. It does not. Grace makes salvation certain. Salvation is dependent totally upon God the sower. He not only sowed the seed, He waters the seed, He dungs the seed, and He is the one who causes the seed to germinate in my heart by the power of the Holy Ghost. The order of salvation is regeneration, awakening, and then faith. If you believe the order is faith, then regeneration you are asking God to share with you His glory. Yes, I must respond. Yes, I must receive. But in order for me to say ‘yes’ there must be a sovereign, effectual work of the Holy Sower done in my heart. That is why you believe, while another rejects. The sower must go forth to sow and if you are saved, rest assured He sowed and germinated the seed in your heart.
