Author Of Thyatira’s Letter

Let us muse from Revelation 2:18 and the church at Thyatira. In verse 18 we are confronted with the who and what of this author. First, I see who He is in the phrase ‘These things saith the Son of God’. This one is God’s only Son plus He is the one who is both Son and God. He is all God and all man. We are told not only who He is but what he is like. We are told that His eyes are like unto a flame of fire. This speaks of His all-knowing piercing vision. The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the good and evil. We are told that His feet are like brass which tells us he has been through the fires of God and come forth approved by the Father. Certainly this gives Him rights to address this church as well as the one we go to.
