Jacob’s Image

Let us muse today from Genesis 35:1-2, 21 and Pride’s image. In verse one he is going up to Bethel, still not heading home yet. He there makes an altar to the Lord. It is at this time in verse two he deals with the strange gods his wives brought from home. Why didn’t he deal with this before now? Is  it the fact of pride and his image that keeps him from standing for what is right in his  own life as well as the lives of others. Let us remember how prIde is spelt. There is a big “I” im the middle. I am the greatest problem I have. In verse 21 he is spreading his tent in Edar, and he is still not headed home.
