The Interceding Of Forgiveness
Let us muse today from Isaiah 53:12, John 17:9 and ‘The Interceding Work Of Forgiveness’. Think upon this thought. ‘He Couldn’t Forgive, But He Could Intercede For It’. He stood in my place on the cross. He interceded to the author of forgiveness. He was all God but for now He hung in the place of me, the sinner. He said, ‘Father, forgive them’. He interceded forgiveness for the abominable. While we were yet sinners He died for us. He interceded forgiveness ‘before our amazement’. He said, ‘For they know not what they do’. He pleads our cluelessness to the Father. The cross of Jerusalem is the center of the world map. The molecules of our body have a cross shape at the back of them. The black hole at the center of the universe has a cross shape at its center. The cross is the center of all that God created and it is the embodiment of forgiveness. No wonder, from the cross He cried, ‘Father, forgive them for they know not what they do’.
