The Differing Of Obversation

Let us muse today from I Samuel 24:11-22 and the Differing Observation as it pertains to forgiveness. This will be our last thoughts on the subject of forgiveness. When David chose to take the high road of forgiveness with Saul we find in verses 11-15 that God made a marked difference between the two. In verses 16-17 Saul said of David, ‘you are more righteous than I’. My how when we take the high road of forgiveness others can see Christ in us. In verses 18-19 Saul says, ‘God will reward you good for this act’. Verses 20-22 Saul asks him ‘to remember his seed when he takes the throne’. Years later when David should have destroyed Saul’s seed he showed grace to his grandson Mephibosheth and let him eat at his table all of his life. That, my friend, is what you call forgiving and forgetting.
