Introductory Verses To Colossians

Let us begin today to muse from Colossians 1:1-2 and the Introduction To This Great Letter. We find in verse 2 that this is a handwritten letter to the church. In this modern age would it not be a great thing for us to get back to handwritten notes. Oh, how many difficult truths we could share through a letter and even much more could we share the great truth of the gospel. In verse 1 Paul opens with his title of ‘an apostle’. There has been many attacks leveled at whether Paul was a true apostle. We are told here that he is an apostle of Jesus Christ because God willed it so. When God ordains it to be so it will come to pass. There is also a greeting from Timothy who was one who had a great part in Paul’s minstry.
