Thanks For Ministering For Us
Let us muse today from Colossians 1:14 where we find Paul’s Thanks To God For Ministering For Us. Paul’s prayer has definitely turned into praise. It is here that he thanks God for our redemption. The word means the release of a prisoner because a ransom payment has been paid. God demanded a human sacrifice for the redemption of His people. Can we not see in this how horrible our sins were? They demanded the death of Jesus in order to satisfy the just demands of God. There was an added blessing to redemption Paul said and it was ‘even the forgiveness of sins’. The word ‘forgiveness‘ means to pardon and totally erase away. Sin is in the plural, meaning all of them. Through our redemption we can say, My sin not in part but the whole, are nailed to the tree and I bear them no more’. Now wonder Paul erupted into praise.
