Let us muse today from Colossians 1:20 on the great subject of ‘Reconciliation‘. Paul has been out in the universe of our great creation and now brings us back to dark Calvary. We see in our text the ‘Meaning Of Reconciliation’. The word used here means to compound two together making one. The means is by Him and His precious blood. God has never needed to be reconciled to man but man needs to be reconciled to God. The only way God and man can be made one is that the one who is both God and man must step in. The measure of the reconciliation is in the blood of the God-man. The Bible says, ‘the life of the flesh is in the blood’. In His blood we find eternal life. Only the blood of the God-man can give us peace in this world or the world to come.
