Paul’s Burden For Unity

Let us Muse today from Colossians 2:2 and Paul’s burden for unity. It is amazing as I travel from place to place, to find so many bent on making their point, no matter the division it may cause in the body of Christ. When we get people in the word, truth will cause unity. Paul’s desire is that their hearts might be comforted. The word heart means a man’s thoughts, feelings, and doings. It was Paul’s burden that this people may be comforted. The word comforted means to be called near for exhortation. Christ’s desires is that we be knit together, which is a term of unity. The center of this unity must be love. True love is Christ embodied. True unity will be reached only when we center our thoughts, feelings, and doings around Him and His word.
