Picture Of A Pilgrim

Let us muse  today from Colossians 2:6 and more of Paul’s pictures of progress. The overall theme of this book is our completeness in Christ. When we are drawing from our position of being complete in him, there will be progress in our spiritual life. In our text Paul uses the picture of a pilgrim. The word received used by Paul here is not that of being saved, but of our walking in an intimate position of oneness with Christ. Paul said, if you have received Him, you walk in Him.The word walk is the word of a pilgrim. The word pilgrim is one who has the testimony of this world is not my home, I’m just passing through. The Pilgrim has a light grip on this temporal world and a tight grip on the eternal world. Are you and I making any progress in our pilgrim walk with Christ?
