Kidnapped By Error

Ley us muse  today from Colossians 2:8 and the subject of kidnapped by error. The word spoil here is our word kidnapped. The false teachers of Paul’s day and the cultists of our day do not win the lost, but kidnapped converts from churches. Paul said they will spoil you with philosophy and vain deceit. The word philosophy means a lover of greater wisdom. The word is only used here and then discarded. It is a higher knowledge that is hollow and has Satan’s backings. He warns us to be aware of the traditions of men. The traditions of men is when we give a greater place to standards and convictions of Man than we give to God and the doctrines of the Bible. The rudiments of the world is to lay a heavy weight of authority on spiritually dark things such as, our horoscope charts, zodiac systems, Ouija boards, and other spiritual practices. Let us be careful of anything that has the DNA of man on and it is not the pure Word of God.
