Warning Of Being Beguiled

Let us muse again today from Colossians 2:18 and the warning of let no man beguile you. The word beguile means to declare unworthy of the prize. It is a term used by an umpire when he disqualifies one for not obeying the rules. The word intruding was the word used to explain one who was fully initiated and ready to step into the inner shrine of mysticism. The initiation was a pride of false humility that thought one could not come to God, so instead he went to an angel. It all comes from thinking with the mind of the flesh. Can you imagine someone thinking he is a giant when by all rights he is a pygmy. I am glad I can come boldly into the presence of God through Christ His  Son and get help when I need it. Let us not be counted unworthy because we have come by any other, but Christ alone.
