Sins To Die To
Let us continue to muse upon Colossians 3:5 and living the complete life in Christ. In this text Paul names five sins to die to. Most today in fundamental circles love the mention of dress standards, habits we practice, and places we go. Very little preaching is on these five sins, that are destroying our people in our churches. The first Paul mentions is fornication, which means sexual immorality in general, that is outside the marriage bed. All adulterous affairs begin with fornication. Any sexual act done by unmarried people fall in the area of fornication. Paul tells us in verse six of chapter 3, if you do these things you or courting the wrath of God. The word wrath is the harsh judgment of God. The world and often the church sweep these sins under the carpet, but be assured God does not.
