Robes Of The Holy And Beloved

Let us muse again today from Colossians 3:12 and all dressed up with somewhere to go. Let us look today at the robe of the holy and the beloved. These are two titles that Paul gives those who have put on the new man. The word holy means the set apart ones. Peters said be ye holy even as God is holy. This is a robe that sets us apart and tells the world that we are Christlike. The other title is the beloved. This is the pet name God the Father uses for God the Son. This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. This really magnifies our position in Christ. When God speaks of us, He cannot see anyone but His Son, so thus He calls us the beloved.
