Prayer For an Open Door

Let us muse today from Colossians 4:3b and the thought of prayer for an open door. Paul does not seek to be free from his prison but his prayer is for freedom to minister in the prison. The mystery of Christ is that the gospel would be delivered to both Jews and Gentiles. Paul’s desire is for a door to be opened for him to do exactly what landed him in prison, which was preaching to the Gentile. This burden has brought him before Felix, Festus, and King Agrippa, to show them the gospel. It also gave him fruit from Caesar’s royal guard. Pray for me that God will continue to open doors that no man can shut, to share the gospel with a lost and dying world.
