Tychius’ Purpose

Let us muse from Colossians 4:7-8 and Tychius’ purpose. One of the overall responsibilities of Tychius  was to deliver this letter to the church at Colossae. He was not only to tell them of  Paul’s state of affairs, but he would to return and tell Paul of their spiritual state. One of his greatest purposes Paul said would be to comfort your hearts while he is there. The word comfort means to come alongside with inspiration to press on in the circumstances of life. Paul had composed this letter and Tychius was to carry it to Colossae. I believe Paul felt they were equally important. Our pastors may deliver the message on Sunday, but it is our devotional responsibility to pray that it would bear fruit. Oh, how both of these are  equally as important.
