Demas The Floundering Man

Let us muse today from Colossians 4:14b and Demas the floundering man. Paul here mentions Demas, I feel to encourage him to go on with the Lord. It is just a few years later he will give this sad report in II Timothy 4, Demas hath forsaken me having loved this present world. The word forsake means to leave others in a lurch. Lord, raised up in the church those who are willing to encourage the weary and lift up the feeble in spirit less they leave never to return. This is probably one of the greatest epidemic at the church today which is of those quitting who have for a time been faithful. Lord, give us a spirit of discernment to know who they are and lift them up.
