Memorial Metaphors

Let us muse from Hosea 6:4  today and some of the metaphors Hosea uses to describe Israel. As we meditate on these metaphors let us be watchful to see if there are similarities in our walk with the Lord. In 6:4 the Lord speaks of their goodness. The word goodness speaks of their virtues before the Lord and their devotion toward the Lord. He said their devotions remind him of a morning cloud. Oh how a morning cloud gives us the hope of the  rain shower in a dry season only to float away when the sun burns through. He said their devotion is like the early dew. Oh how the early dew can look as a sparkling jewel only to disappear quickly when the sun rises. What is our devotion to  Him and our virtue before Him like? Does it quickly dissolved under the heat of a troubling day?
