Sin Of Arrogancy

Let us muse today from Hosea 13:1-3 and the reason for discipline. The sin God speaks out about was the sin of arrogancy. Pride an arrogancy are very deceitful sins. The Bible says it always comes before a fall. The tribe the Lord chooses out to address their sin was the tribe of Ephraim. This was Joseph’s son. They thought they deserve preferential treatment and because of that they were full of pride and arrogancy. The Lord says in verse three they will be as the early cloud and the dew that passes away quickly. Our Lord says because of their pride they will disappear like the chaff in the whirl wind and smoke coming out of the chimney. Our Lord resists the proud but giveth grace to the humble. Let us humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and in due time He shall exalt us.
