Future Promises

Let us begin today to muse from our last chapter in Hosea. I will call chapter 14 a chapter of future promises. In 14:1 there is the promise of a returning plea. The word return here means to come back to the starting. point. The point here mentioned is to the Lord thy God. The promise is if they will return He will take away their iniquity. There is also a receiving promise. The Lord says if we return He will receive us graciously. Grace is God’s unmerited flavor. How can we dare continue in sin and stand afar off from the Lord. Let us return and He will forgive and receive us with grace. My, what a thought.
