The Godhead’s Oneness

Let us muse again today from John 17:3 and the high priestly prayer. In our text today we are confronted with the Father and Son being one. A Jew of Jesus day would never mention the Father and Son in the same sentence unless there was equality between the two and they were one and the same person. Jesus is praying and He says the only true God and Jesus Christ. They are both mentioned at the same time in the same sentence. Paul said of Jesus He thought it not robbery to be equal with the Father.
