A Deception Of Sin
Let us muse again today from Isaiah 5:8-20 and the theme of Isaiah’s Christ. We have been looking at the sifted Vineyard which is the church within the church. This Vineyard was designed for success yet found a way to fail. We find in our text the reason it failed was because of a deception of sin. In verse eight we find they were consumed with material things even to the place there was no place to be alone with the Vineyard owner. In verse 12 all worship and praise were gone. In verse 13 no one is seeking to know the Vineyard owner in a deeper way. In verse 18 they have filled a cart with their sin and they’re going down a hill with the cart behind and it is about to run them over. In verse 20 there are no absolutes everything is all right. It sounds like the church of today. In verse 14 we find hell has enlarged its self to accommodate those who come there from the pews of religion.
