The Strengthening Christ

Let us continue to muse today from Isaiah 40: 9-10 and the theme of Isaiah’s Christ. In our text today Isaiah asked us to behold our God. The old mountain Sunday school teacher said that the word behold means lookee lookee in the Hebrew. When we look in this text we are confronted with the strengthing Christ. I am reminded today in order to have His strength we must become weak. He brings low in order to bring high. He hurts in order to help. He causes a lack that He may supply it. No wonder in the song Jesus loves me this I know we find the words we are weak but Thou art mighty.
