The Humbling Work Of Our God

Let us muse today from Isaiah 40:15-17 and the theme of Isaiah’s Christ. We look today at the humbling work of our God. I find first of all that He humbles us with His boldness. In verse 15 our Lord says all the nations which includes America is like a drop of dust in a bucket. In verse 17 He says all the nations which includes America are considered as nothing. A W Tozer  said “when we realize our total and complete nothingness and that He is all we then step aside and make room for Him to be all.”. Martin Luther said “God makes all things from nothing and He refuses to make anything out of one who thinks he is something.” John Bunyan said “he who lives in the dust at Jesus feet need never fear a fall into temptation.” How humbled we are in the presence of our God.
