The Suffering Christ

Let us begin to muse today from Isaiah 52:13-15 and the theme of Isaiah’s Christ. We will begin to look today at the suffering Christ. In our text we see the marred face of Christ. In verse 13 we see Christ is in an exalted place. In verse 14 He leaves the exalted  state and condescends to a state of humiliation seen in His face. Isaiah was astoined when he saw the face of the crucified Christ. It was freakish and nonhuman. I first saw my father years ago after open-heart surgery and his head was swollen and freakish looking. Our Lord said in Psalms 22 that His heart melted and ran into His bowels. Why would He do this? I cannot speak for you but I know this He did it for me. In verse 15 He was exalted back to a king on throne.
