The Declaration Of The Gospel And Its Calls

Let us muse today from II Peter 3:9, Hebrews 8:12 and the Gospel according to the new birth. Let us look today at the declaration of the Gospel and its calls. In II Peter we are told that the Lord is not willing that any should perish. The word willing means one’s desire. In Hebrews 8:12 we are told He wills to be merciful and wills to remember sin no more, the word will here means a decree that causes something to happen. It may be His desire that none go to hell but He has certainly not decree it to be so.
