Musing Through Matthew-John The Baptist’s Humility

Let us muse again today from Matthew 3: 14 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our text today we find John the Baptist’s humility when he tells Jesus he needs to be baptized of Him. John speaks of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. I remind us that John was filled with the Holy Ghost in his mother’s womb. Is that not the mark of humility one who is full of the Holy Ghost always desires and needs more of the Holy Ghost. I am glad Jesus nor John was taught you get all of the Spirit you’re going to get at salvation for Jesus said how much more shall the Father give the Spirit to them that ask Him.
