Musing Through Matthew-The Spirit Leads Into Temptation

Let us muse again today Matthew 4:1 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our
text we are confronted right after our Lord has been testified to by the Father
as being the King, He is led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be
tempted of the devil. I thought the Bible says God tempts no man with
sin. God does not Himself bring the temptation but surely arranges it and
controls the one who brings it. No wonder He taught us to pray Lord lead us not
into temptation and deliver us from evil. Remember temptation will often come
after our highest mountaintop experiences with the Father.
