Musing Through Matthew- The Bases Of Forgiveness

Let us muse again today from Matthew 6:14-15 and the theme of Jesus the King. In our text we find some truths about the bases of forgiveness. We are told we must forgive people who trespass against us. The word trespass means to cross the boundary lines. Oh how in many ways do others sin against us. The text tells us we cannot get the forgiveness of the Father unless we forgive others their trespasses. I certainly do not want to miss His forgiveness, so when someone hurts me let me immediately have forgiveness in my heart for them even if they never ask for it.
