Musing Through Matthew- Healing Of The Leper

Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:3 and the theme of Jesus the King. It is here we see with great delight the healing of the leper. The leper in the Bible is a picture of the sinner. I am amazed that He touches the Leper yet He is not defiled. He the Holy One took upon Himself my sin yet remained holy. His touch is not an accidental brush but a purposeful putting forth of His hand. He says the simple words, I will, be thou clean. The Leper nor the multitude had to wait around to see what would happen for immediately he was cleansed. Oh the marvelous work He did for the Leper much like the work He did in my own dead sinful heart when He touched me July 1968.
