Musing Through Matthew-He Touched Her

Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:15 and the theme of Jesus the King. In the text for today we find that He touched her. The lady is Peter’s mother-in-law who is suffering from a fever. It was not a long drawn out recovery and she was immediately healed. If you know anything about a high fever it leaves you extremely weak for days but not this lady. Our Lord does all His work perfectly and she was not weak but was ready to minister in the household work as soon as she was healed. There is no surer work of one being healed of the dreadful fever of sin’s depravity than that they immediately want to minister in the house of the Lord.
