Musing Through Matthew- Desire For Mercy

Let us muse again today from Matthew 8:30-31 in the theme of Jesus the King. Throughout the Bible the mercy prayer is the most often prayed prayer and never denied but once. In our text the demons make a desire for mercy in the words suffer us to go. He was merciful even to a demon’s prayer for mercy. The only time this prayer is denied was when the rich man in hell cried for mercy. In hell the day of mercy is over.
