Musing Through Matthew- The Favored City

Let us muse again today from Matthew 9:1 and the theme of Jesus the King. In the context of our study today our Lord has made many trips on the sea of Galilee. He has just left with sadness a group who has rejected Him. He now sails to Capernaum a place in our text He calls His favored city or His own city. They later will turn upon Him and prove unworthy of such a title. May we never have our Savior to claim us as His own and our lives bring dishonor to Him proving us so unworthy of the title of being called His children.
