Musing Through Matthew-Worthy Peace

Let us muse again today from Matthew 10: 13 and the theme of Jesus the king. In our text today the Lord speaks to His disciples of worthy peace. It tells them if they find a house receptive to the Gospel they have found a worthy house. The word worthy means deserving of praise. He tells them when they find such a house let your peace come upon it. The word peace is a spiritual term of restful prosperity and quietness. He tells them if they are unresponsive to the Gospel keep your peace to yourself. May our Lord give us many such occasions in this hour of people who are responsive to the Gospel message.
